A growing product-led business is expanding its data capabilities and is looking for a commercially minded Lead Product Data Scientist to help shape how data is used across the organisation. Working with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams, you’ll identify opportunities for data to create value across customer, product and operational use cases. You’ll challenge assumptions, influence strategic decisions and help stakeholders understand what is possible through data.
This is a highly visible and consultative role, but you’ll remain hands-on, using SQL, Python, experimentation and statistical analysis to test ideas, quantify opportunities and measure outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
- Partner with executive stakeholders to identify and shape data opportunities.
- Translate complex business challenges into clear analytical solutions.
- Quantify potential value before products or features are developed.
- Work with Product, Engineering and Design teams to influence product direction.
- Apply experimentation and hypothesis testing to validate ideas and measure success.
- Communicate clear recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Help broaden the use and understanding of data across the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
