Senior Product Design Lead – Workplace Experience
London – Hybrid, 2 days per week onsite
£600 per day – Inside IR35
6-month contract
Start: ASAP
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Design Lead to lead end-to-end UX and UI design for a global workplace experience platform.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role combining design strategy, team management, and direct delivery. You will oversee a distributed design team while remaining actively involved in user journeys, wireframes, interaction design, prototyping, and high-quality UI execution.
You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Content, Brand, and Accessibility teams to deliver a consistent and engaging employee experience across multiple global markets.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end product design vision across UX and UI
- Lead, mentor, and support a distributed team of designers
- Remain hands-on with user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and UI design
- Manage and prioritise the design backlog
- Lead discovery sessions, stakeholder workshops, and design-thinking activities
- Establish consistency through design systems, accessibility, and brand standards
- Support CMS-driven products and effective content-governance models
- Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Engineering, and Delivery teams
- Present design direction and recommendations to senior executives
- Support the global rollout and adoption of the platform across multiple markets

Required experience:
- 10+ years of Product Design experience across UX and UI
- 5+ years in a design leadership or Lead Designer position
- Experience designing digital workplace, employee experience, or internal enterprise platforms
- Strong hands-on wireframing, prototyping, interaction design, and UI capabilities
- Proven people leadership and mentoring experience
- Experience working within large-scale, regulated enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of CMS platforms and content governance
- Experience managing distributed or offshore design and development teams
- Knowledge of design systems and accessibility standards
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
