Company Description
Pebble is a London-based startup founded by former Google and Synthesia leaders building a generative learning world for children. Backed by founders who raised $25M+ for previous ventures, Pebble is creating a 3D adventure game where kids interact with AI characters via open-ended voice conversations to foster growth and agency.
Job Description
As Lead Product Designer, you will own Pebble’s product craft end-to-end, from UX and UI to motion and visual language. You’ll design immersive 3D experiences at the intersection of gaming and AI, implementing your work directly in the codebase to create a product that balances child-like wonder with parental trust.

Why this role is remarkable
- Join a founding team led by the first product hire at Synthesia (scaled to $100M ARR) and a second-time founder who raised $25M+ from top US investors.
- Define a new category of "generative learning" by designing a 3D world where AI characters provide unscripted, developmental value rather than passive consumption.
- Exercise total ownership over a high-polish visual aesthetic—aiming for "Monument Valley" levels of craft—while shaping the core product direction from the ground up.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Lead the end-to-end design of the product, including UX, UI, visual identity, and high-fidelity motion for a 3D Unity-based adventure game.
- Collaborate directly with the founders to translate ambitious product strategies into simple, intuitive interactions that children and parents both love.
- Build and iterate on client-side code, bridging the gap between design and implementation to ensure every pixel and transition meets world-class standards.
The ideal candidate
- Demonstrates a portfolio of shipped products with exceptional visual sensibility, mastering typography, composition, and interaction design beyond static screens.
- Possesses strong product instincts for turning ambiguous AI capabilities, such as open-ended voice interactions, into cohesive and trustworthy user experiences.
- Has technical proficiency to implement designs within a codebase, ideally with experience or interest in Unity, C#, or similar game engines.
