Company Description
The ORDRE Group is a collective of fashion technology businesses reshaping how luxury brands, retailers, and consumers connect. Driven by digital innovation, the Group focuses on advanced imaging, product identity, and authentication solutions for the global fashion industry. Team members join a forward-thinking environment that blends fashion, technology, and data to solve complex industry challenges.
The role in one line
Own the end-to-end experience of an AI image-generation platform for luxury fashion brands, from brand setup to approved on-model imagery.
What they'll do
- Shape whole workflows, not just screens: brand setup, casting virtual models, product upload, packshot generation, review and approval. They'll map where users get stuck and simplify.
- Design for AI that is slow, sometimes wrong and sometimes refuses: waiting states, retries, safety-filter blocks, confidence scores, and "the AI suggests, a person decides" moments.
- Make AI feel guided, not technical: conversational flows like the casting brief, plain-language help, and turning jargon (colourway, ΔE, grounding, references) into words a merchandiser understands.
- Own the words: errors, empty states and guidance copy. Every message should say what happened and what to do.
- Run regular usability testing with real merchandisers, art directors and studio teams, plus quick AI-assisted walkthroughs between rounds. Turn the findings into prioritised fixes.
- Evolve and govern the design system, which is a signed-off spec with tokens, components, and light and dark modes, keeping it restrained and editorial to suit luxury brands.
- Design multi-role experiences: Administrator, Producer, Operator and the ORDRE visitor each see different powers on the same screens.
- Prototype fast with clickable mocks before anything is built, and write specs precise enough for an AI-assisted engineering loop to build from directly.
- Partner on output quality, helping define what "on brand" and "faithful to the product" mean visually, and how people judge and approve images.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- 5+ years in product design, with complex B2B or workflow tools in the portfolio, not only consumer apps or marketing sites.
- Shipped experience designing AI or ML features, especially generative ones, and their uncertainty.
- A strong eye for luxury and fashion aesthetics; fashion, e-commerce or creative-production tooling experience is a big plus.
- Excellent UX writing
- Comfortable with design systems, accessibility (WCAG AA, keyboard and screen readers) and design tokens.
- Able to work from evidence: usability tests, session observations, metrics.
- Happy writing specs and acceptance criteria. Bonus if they can read React and Next.js, or prototype in code.
- Self-directed in a small team, comfortable making calls and saying why.
