Lead Product Designer - fintech
Location: London (hybrid)
Type: Full-time
Salary: £90,000 – £100,000, plus stock options
An early-stage, well-funded fintech building next-generation biometric payment, loyalty, and identity/access infrastructure - already live with real customers across hospitality and fitness venues in the UK and Ireland. Small team, moving fast, building native apps, merchant software, and its own hardware in parallel.
The Role
An end-to-end Lead Product Designer role spanning native apps, website, merchant software, payment systems, kiosks, and hardware. You'll join a small team and help lead the design offering, with scope to grow a team over time.

The Candidate
The key requirement: proven 0-1 product experience
They need someone who has genuinely taken products from an early, undefined idea through to a shipped, functional product used by real customers, not just concept work or incremental feature improvements. This needs to be evident in your portfolio also.
Candidates from an industrial design background who've moved into digital product design are also of strong interest, but not essential.
Other things we're looking for;
- Genuinely AI-native - using AI throughout the design and prototyping process, including to vibe-code, well beyond just prompting.
- Technically fluent - comfortable working closely with engineers, understands technical constraints, and can read basic code (Python/JavaScript) well enough to judge whether a change will work.
- Strong portfolio - minimal, slick, functional work with clear thinking behind every decision, not just polished screens.
- Leadership-ready - you've managed at least one other designer and can lead and grow a small team.
