đ Weâre on a mission to make money work for everyone.
Weâre waving goodbye to the complicated and confusing ways of traditional banking.
After starting as a prepaid card, our product offering has grown a lot in the last 10 years in the UK. As well as personal and business bank accounts, we offer joint accounts, accounts for 16-17 year olds, a free kids account and credit cards in the UK, with more exciting things to come beyond. Our UK customers can also save, invest and combine their pensions with us.
With our hot coral cards and get-paid-early feature, combined with financial education on social media and our award-winning customer service, we have a long history of creating magical moments for our customers!
Weâre not about selling products - we want to solve problems and change lives through Monzo â¤ď¸

âOur Design team
Weâre a team of 115+ designers, researchers, and brand experts led by Chief Design Officer Vuokko Aro. Weâre on a mission to make money work for everyone. Product Design makes up over half of our design disciplines, working in tight-knit squads alongside research, product, engineering and data to solve real customer problems at scale.
We design for the "magic moments"
Weâve built a bank that feels human, not just functional. Our product is our personality. We blend research, empathy, data and craft to turn everyday interactions into memorable experiences.
Right now, weâre growing fast and looking for passionate designers to shape Monzoâs future â and thereâs a huge opportunity to make your mark.
đą About Growth
Our Growth collective is focused on helping more people discover Monzo, understand what makes us different, and find the products that can make money work better for them.
For this role, youâll have a particular focus on our web experiences, helping us rethink how people discover, explore and choose Monzo before they ever open the app. Youâll combine strong visual and interaction design with a data-informed mindset, using experimentation and customer insight to understand what works and continuously improve the experience.
You donât need to have worked in a dedicated Growth team before. Weâre interested in designers who are curious about customer behaviour, comfortable using data to inform their decisions, and excited by the opportunity to apply exceptional craft to high-impact customer journeys.
đYouâll play a key role by...
- Leading the design of high-quality web experiences that help new and existing customers discover the value Monzo can bring to their financial lives.
- Using quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities, understand customer behaviour and make informed design decisions.
- Turning customer and business problems into clear hypotheses, designing experiments and using what you learn to shape what we do next.
- Bringing exceptional visual and interaction craft to our web experiences, creating work that feels unmistakably Monzo while driving meaningful customer and commercial outcomes.
- Tackling complex and ambiguous design challenges, balancing customer needs, business goals and technical constraints to create simple, effective experiences.
- Defining compelling product visions and direction, helping teams think beyond individual experiments towards a coherent long-term customer experience.
- Partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Data and Research throughout the design process, bringing people together around customer problems and opportunities.
- Using AI to level-up parts of your design workflow. Whether thatâs ideation, analysis, prototyping or shipping production code.
- Taking a pragmatic approach to experimentation â moving quickly when we need to learn, while knowing when an experience needs a higher level of craft and polish.
- Acting as a role model in Design, sharing your work broadly, mentoring others, and contributing to the growth and success of the wider Design team.

Iâm in my final year doing Economics and I donât know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer â it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donât need a masters. Letâs look at the ones youâd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet â that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
