The Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Lead Product Designer VP to join Robert Walters as a Consultant.

As a Consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Robert Walters and will be deployed on an assignment within our clients' organisations, in return we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional support.

What You'll Do

  • Drive product design excellence within a dedicated product squad, balancing high-quality craft with business impact, consistency and efficiency.
  • Translate complex business requirements and customer needs into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use product experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including researchers, designers, technologists and business specialists, to develop customer-focused products and services.
  • Align design and business objectives by partnering with leaders across Customer Experience, Product and Marketing.
  • Lead discovery, design and delivery research through workshops, design sprints and ideation sessions, using customer insights and data to inform experiences.
  • Produce and present high-quality design deliverables, including concepts, prototypes, user journeys, wireframes, UI flows and detailed interface designs, while managing stakeholders and resolving issues.
  • Partner with the design system team, identify opportunities for design innovation, and mentor designers by promoting effective practices and methodologies.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrable experience in hands-on product design roles, delivering end-to-end digital products and services from discovery through to implementation.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing user-centred solutions to complex customer and business challenges, including user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity UI designs.
  • Commercially aware, solution-focused and interested in fintech.
  • Able to synthesise complex and competing requirements, communicate clearly and influence decisions across diverse, cross-functional teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Experienced in designing across multiple digital touchpoints, including native iOS and Android applications, with a practical understanding of current and emerging technologies.
  • Proficient in UX research, usability testing, iterative design and modern design systems, with expert knowledge of Figma and other prototyping and design tools.
  • Versatile, collaborative and passionate
