I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive the AI Product Strategy: Identify where and how AI/LLMs create real user value, designing intelligent features (e.g., AI financial assistants, interactive credit report intelligence, alternative credit-matching pathways) rather than adding AI for "AI’s sake."
- End-to-End Product Leadership: Lead the product roadmap from discovery to delivery—owning backlogs, gathering user feedback, prioritizing features, and defining success metrics.
- Empower the Unserved Consumer: Redesign core consumer journeys to guide users who are "locked out" of traditional credit, presenting tailored alternative options through data ownership and intelligent recommendations.
- Modern Product Transformation: Foster a highly collaborative, modern Product & Engineering culture working directly with senior engineers and tech leadership.
- Execution & Delivery: Maintain a crisp backlog and agile cadence in a lean, fast-moving, high-impact environment.
