🚀 About WRITER

WRITER is where the world's leading enterprises orchestrate AI-powered work. Our vision is to expand human capacity through superintelligence. And we're proving it's possible – through powerful, trustworthy AI that unites IT and business teams together to unlock enterprise-wide transformation. With WRITER's end-to-end platform, hundreds of companies like Mars, Marriott, Uber, and Vanguard are building and deploying AI agents that are grounded in their company's data and fueled by WRITER's enterprise-grade LLMs. Valued at $1.9B and backed by industry-leading investors including Premji Invest, Radical Ventures, and ICONIQ Growth, WRITER is rapidly cementing its position as the leader in enterprise generative AI.

Founded in 2020 with office hubs in San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, Austin, Chicago, and London, our team thinks big and moves fast, and we're looking for smart, hardworking builders and scalers to join us on our journey to create a better future of work with AI.

📐 About This Role

This is a chance to help shape the next chapter of WRITER's product at a moment when generative AI is redefining how work gets done. As senior staff product manager, you'll report directly to Wil Pong, VP of Product, and operate as a force-multiplier across the product organization — setting direction where it's unclear, aligning stakeholders, and making sure our most critical initiatives ship with excellence.

You'll own ambiguous, high-impact problem spaces that span multiple product areas and teams, and you'll be equal parts strategist and operator. One moment you're shaping a multi-quarter roadmap; the next you're rolling up your sleeves to unblock execution. We're looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of customer empathy, technical depth, and business judgment — and who is energized by turning complex, evolving AI capabilities into products customers love.

🦸🏻‍♀️ Your Responsibilities

  • Drive high-impact product initiatives end-to-end, from discovery and problem definition through launch, adoption, and iteration across areas that span multiple squads and surfaces
  • Shape product strategy and roadmap in partnership with the VP of Product and product leadership, translating company-level goals into clear, sequenced, ambitious bets
  • Spend time with enterprise buyers, end users, and prospects to uncover unmet needs, validate problem-solution fit, and champion the customer voice in every decision
  • Partner closely with engineering and design to define requirements, navigate technical tradeoffs, and build the right things in the right order, bringing real fluency to conversations about LLMs, agents, platform architecture, and data
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders across go-to-market, sales, marketing, customer success, and executive leadership, communicating strategy and tradeoffs with crisp, audience-appropriate narrative
  • Define and own success metrics for your areas, using data and qualitative signal to evaluate impact, course-correct, and tell the story of outcomes to leadership
  • Raise the bar on product craft across the org by mentoring and coaching other PMs, modeling best practices, and strengthening a culture built on rigor, customer obsession, and velocity

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

⭐️ Is this you?

  • 8+ years of product management experience with a track record of owning and shipping complex, high-impact products, ideally in SaaS, platform, infrastructure, or AI/ML-driven environments
  • Senior- or staff-level experience operating autonomously across ambiguous, multi-team problem spaces and influencing outcomes well beyond your immediate team
  • Genuine customer obsession — you instinctively go to the customer, synthesize signal from noise, and design from a deep understanding of real workflows and pain points
  • Technical credibility to engage meaningfully with engineers and researchers on system design, LLM capabilities, data, and architecture, knowing when to go deep and when to defer to the experts
  • A blend of strong strategic thinking and relentless execution — you can set a compelling vision one moment and sweat the details of a release plan the next
  • Exceptional communication that you tailor for any audience, from a frontline engineer to the executive team, driving alignment without relying on org chart authority
  • A mentor's instinct and a builder's drive, with the data-informed, outcome-driven mindset to define success up front and move with the speed this environment demands
