About the role

As a Lead Product Manager at dxw, you’ll lead the delivery and development of digital services for the public good, working within multidisciplinary teams on complex client projects and programmes.

This is primarily a client delivery role. You’ll provide product leadership, helping clients define product vision, shape delivery and ensure services deliver meaningful outcomes. You’ll create the conditions for teams to work effectively, make informed decisions and navigate complexity, balancing user, client, team and organisational needs.

As a senior member of our product community, you’ll also share your experience and learning with colleagues, help shape product practice at dxw, and support the development of other product managers where appropriate.

We value diverse perspectives and encourage people with a broad range of experience to apply. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience within the health and justice sectors.

Key responsibilities

Product leadership and delivery

  • Lead product management on complex digital projects and services through the full delivery lifecycle.
  • Work with clients to understand user needs and strategic goals, shaping clear product vision and direction.
  • Lead the creation, prioritisation and refinement of roadmaps and backlogs.
  • Provide clear product direction within multidisciplinary delivery teams.
  • Make informed product decisions that balance user needs, client priorities, delivery constraints and wider organisational goals.
  • Ensure product decisions are evidence-led and focused on outcomes.
  • Create the conditions for multidisciplinary teams to collaborate effectively and deliver high-quality work.
  • Adapt product approaches to suit different client contexts, stages of delivery and levels of product maturity.

Stakeholder engagement and client capability

  • Build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing clear product leadership and advice.
  • Engage stakeholders in product thinking, prioritisation and decision-making.
  • Communicate product vision, direction and decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Navigate competing priorities and help stakeholders make pragmatic, evidence-based decisions.
  • Build client confidence and capability in product management approaches.
  • Influence senior stakeholders through collaboration, credibility and a strong understanding of their context.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We help organisations like the NHS, the Department for Education, and Citizens Advice spend less money on technology, so that they can spend more on helping the most vulnerable. We aim not only to produce better services, but to radically and permanently improve people’s interactions with government to make it a better instrument of good.

Recent projects include improving access to adult social care, supporting rehabilitation of people leaving prison, and many more.

One of the things that makes us different is that we are employee-owned, so we are not beholden to external shareholders, and are protected against being taken over by private equity. It also means we can prioritise being an inclusive employer, reducing our impact on the planet, and working in the open. We particularly encourage applications from people who are underrepresented in tech and/or looking for flexible working arrangements.

What we offer

We want our team to feel supported both inside and outside of work. Alongside a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits designed to promote flexibility, wellbeing, and long-term security:

  • Time off & balance: A generous 28 days of annual leave per year, plus all England bank holidays. We also offer a holiday buy and sell scheme, giving you the flexibility to customise your time off to suit you.
  • Family-first support: Up to 18 weeks of paid parental leave to support your family, depending on your situation.
  • Health & wellbeing: A healthcare cash plan providing financial support to help cover everyday medical, dental, and optical costs, plus 24/7 confidential support and counselling whenever you need it.
  • Workplace flexibility: Flexible hours to support your work-life balance, top-tier tech, and a home office budget to build a comfortable setup.
  • Collaborative environments: Full access to our London and Leeds offices, alongside a network of co-working spaces across the UK.
  • Financial future & travel: We’ll match your pension contributions up to 6%, provide comprehensive life cover, and offer interest-free season ticket loans alongside the Cycle to Work scheme.

How to apply
