We are recruiting for a senior leadership position within an innovative biotechnology business developing next-generation bioprocess technologies.
This is a people-focused leadership role where you will be responsible for leading, developing, and motivating a multidisciplinary team while ensuring the successful delivery of complex engineering and R&D programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, scientists, and technical specialists.
- Build a high-performing, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
- Manage project delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring objectives, timescales, and budgets are achieved.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders, customers, and external partners.
- Identify and manage risks, priorities, and resources.
- Support the scale-up and commercialisation of innovative technologies.

Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience leading and managing technical or engineering teams.
- Strong track record of people management, coaching, and team development.
- Experience delivering complex engineering, manufacturing, R&D, or technology-led projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Degree qualified in Engineering.

Desirable
- Degree in Bioengineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience within biotechnology, life sciences, bioprocessing, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Chartered Engineer status or recognised leadership qualification.

Occasional UK and international travel may be required.
