About The Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Project Manager to spearhead key initiatives from their Newcastle upon Tyne office. This senior role involves overseeing a portfolio of projects, managing project managers, and ensuring the strategic alignment and successful delivery of critical business objectives. You will play a crucial part in shaping project strategy, managing complex stakeholder relationships, and driving operational excellence across multiple project streams. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Project Managers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring consistent project delivery standards.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of multiple concurrent projects, from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with company strategy and goals.
  • Develop and implement robust project management frameworks, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships, including executive leadership, ensuring clear communication and proactive engagement on project status and risks.
  • Conduct rigorous risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for high-impact project challenges.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Project Manager, with demonstrated progression to a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects and project teams.
  • Strong expertise in various project management methodologies, with a focus on Agile and Waterfall hybrid approaches.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in budget management and resource optimization for large-scale projects.
  • Prince2 Practitioner or PMP certification is essential.
