About the role

This is a strategically important opportunity for an experienced Lead QRM Model Developer to join Coventry Building Society's Financial Planning & Analysis team following the integration of The Co-operative Bank. Reporting to the Senior Manager QRM, the role holder will lead the development, enhancement and maintenance of the Group's QRM forecasting and balance sheet models, helping to shape modelling capabilities that support key financial, treasury and risk management decisions.

Working across Finance, Treasury, Capital Planning, Risk and Product teams, the person in post will be responsible for ensuring QRM models remain robust, well-governed and aligned to regulatory expectations. The role will involve developing forecasting and behavioural models, enhancing modelling approaches across a range of banking products, supporting transformation initiatives and providing technical expertise to both internal stakeholders and external QRM partners.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects linked to the Group's ongoing transformation programme, including system integration, treasury change initiatives and expanded product modelling capabilities. The role holder will regularly engage with senior stakeholders, contribute to governance forums including Group Asset & Liability Committee (GALCO), and play a key role in delivering modelling solutions that directly influence profitability, liquidity, capital planning and long-term business strategy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
