Purpose of the Job
The Telemarketer is a vital sales support role responsible for the initial stages of lead management. This position involves making outbound calls, verifying, and qualifying leads based on predefined criteria, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of lead information to support the sales pipeline.
Additionally, the Telemarketer collaborates closely with the marketing team to refine customer profiles, generate new deals, and streamline the lead qualification process.
Job Description
Lead Qualification & Assignment
- Make outbound calls to verify and qualify leads against agreed criteria.
- Ensure lead information is accurate, complete, and updated within the CRM system.
- Assign qualified leads to the appropriate sales team or channel.
- Handle customer queries and objections professionally to support lead conversion.
Lead Generation
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound calling and targeted campaigns.
- Work closely with Marketing to identify target customer profiles and support lead nurturing activities.
- Provide feedback on lead quality and recommend improvements to targeting strategies.

- Meet or exceed agreed performance targets, including:
- Call activity volumes.
- Lead qualification and conversion rates.
- Lead processing and response times.
- Data quality and accuracy standards.
- Reduction of incorrectly qualified or returned leads.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all lead interactions, qualifications, and assignments within the CRM.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless lead management process.
- Identify and support opportunities for process improvements and increased operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in telemarketing, call center operations, lead qualification, or a similar sales support role
- Proven experience in B2B sales, customer support, or logistics is highly desirable
- Prior experience in a call center environment with a focus on outbound calling is an advantage
