Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Education and Workforce Development and working closely with the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer and Chair of the Resuscitation Committee, you will provide strategic leadership for resuscitation services across the Trust. This influential role offers the opportunity to shape policy, drive innovation, improve patient outcomes and ensure compliance with national standards for resuscitation.
As the Trust's designated expert adviser for resuscitation, you will lead a dedicated team and work collaboratively across clinical, education and governance services to deliver a high-quality, patient-centred resuscitation service.
The Lead Resuscitation Officer will be responsible, in conjunction with the Chair of the Resuscitation committee and the Head of Education, for the strategy and direction of the established resuscitation services across South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT).
The post holder will be responsible for providing expert advice, training, and oversight on all aspects of Resuscitation and management of the deteriorating patient, advising staff throughout the organisation on issues relating to training, equipment and incident management and prevention. They will lead the development and implementation of the Trust Resuscitation Policy and Procedures and will be advising appropriate managers and departments of compliance.
