🔍 About the Role
We’re looking for a highly motivated Lead Risk Reporting Analyst to join our Credit Risk Analytics team at Hampshire Trust Bank.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced credit risk professional to play a leading role in delivering high-quality risk reporting, analytics and insight that supports key business decisions across the bank.
Combining technical expertise, analytical capability and stakeholder leadership, you’ll be responsible for enhancing risk reporting, driving improvements in Power BI reporting solutions, supporting IFRS 9 reporting activities and strengthening data quality and governance across the organisation.
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, takes ownership of delivery and is passionate about driving meaningful improvements rather than simply producing reports.

Analytics & Power BI Delivery
- Lead the development and enhancement of Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
- Translate business requirements into effective analytical and reporting outcomes
- Analyse large and complex datasets to identify insights and trends
- Improve reporting processes through automation and standardisation
- Ensure reporting is accurate, timely and delivers business value
Risk Reporting & IFRS 9
- Support the delivery and development of IFRS 9 reporting and expected credit loss analysis
- Contribute to model implementation, monitoring and reporting activities
- Produce and analyse credit risk reporting, identifying emerging risks and opportunities
- Work closely with Risk, Finance and Model Development teams to support reporting requirements
- Provide meaningful challenge and interpretation of risk data through robust analytical insight
Data Quality & Controls
- Identify, investigate and resolve data quality issues
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions
- Strengthen data governance, controls and reporting standards
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and data accuracy
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a senior member of the team, providing guidance and support to analysts
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Data and Technology
- Manage competing priorities and drive delivery against deadlines
- Take ownership of key processes, reports and analytical frameworks
- Influence senior stakeholders and drive positive change across the business

🎯 What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Experience

- Strong experience within Credit Risk Reporting and Analytics
- Practical experience of IFRS 9 reporting and expected credit loss methodologies
- Advanced Power BI skills including data modelling and DAX
- Strong experience using SQL, Python, SAS, R or similar analytical tools
- Experience analysing large datasets and translating findings into business insight
- Experience leading analytical projects or workstreams from design through to implementation
- Proven ability to improve reporting, analytics and data quality processes
- Strong understanding of risk reporting frameworks and controls
Desirable Experience
- Understanding of retail banking, commercial banking or consumer lending
- Experience in reporting automation and process improvement
- Experience supporting model implementation, monitoring or reporting
- Extensive experience in credit risk analytics
- Coaching, mentoring or leadership experience
