Lead Salesforce Solution Architect – Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Personalisation – Global Retailer

£650 per day (Inside IR35)
Reading & 80% remote
6 months rolling

A high-impact role for a Senior Salesforce Solution Architect that will shape the architecture for advanced CRM, unified profiles, consent, segmentation, personalisation and activation across a multi-channel digital landscape for an enterprise scale, global retailer.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own solution architecture across CRM, CDP and customer engagement capabilities.
  • Define target-state designs, transition architectures and delivery roadmaps.
  • Integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Data Cloud and Salesforce Personalization with data platforms, APIs, events and digital channels.
  • Lead architecture governance, design assurance and cross-domain alignment.
  • Guide architects, influence senior stakeholders and maintain end-to-end design traceability.
  • Support vendor selection, RFPs and technology evaluation.

  • Deep experience in Salesforce CRM, customer data, digital engagement or marketing tech.
  • Strong knowledge of identity, consent, unified profiles, segmentation and personalisation.
  • Expertise in API-first, event-driven, cloud-native and composable architectures.
  • 10+ years designing enterprise-scale solutions; 12+ years overall tech experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Retail or ecommerce domain experience.
  • Exposure to composable CDP/activation tools (Databricks, Hightouch, Braze, Amperity, ActionIQ).
  • Experience with loyalty, lifecycle marketing or omnichannel journeys.
