Job Title: Lead SAS Technical Architect (SC Cleared)
Location: Remote / UK Public Sector Site (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Rate: £600 per day, Inside IR35
Day Rate: Competitive Market Rate
Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required
Role Overview
We are seeking a Security Cleared Lead SAS Technical Architect to provide independent architectural oversight and technical assurance for a major Central Government SAS Viya Migration programme.
In this high-impact role, you will evaluate end-to-end target state designs, advise on risk and technical debt, and ensure the seamless, secure migration of legacy SAS workloads and data assets to SAS Viya. You will act as the principal architectural authority, collaborating with delivery teams, security specialists, and executive stakeholders to deliver a scalable, resilient enterprise solution.

Essential Experience
- SAS and Viya Expertise: Extensive track record as an Architect specializing in SAS platforms, with hands-on experience migrating legacy SAS (SAS 9.4) to SAS Viya.
- Security Clearance: Must hold valid, active SC Clearance (or be eligible and ready to transfer).
- Public Sector Context: Proven experience delivering data/cloud migration architectures within UK Central Government or highly regulated environments.
- Enterprise Architecture: Broad experience in cloud deployment patterns, high availability, disaster recovery, and secure data pipeline design.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical delivery teams, security accreditors, and senior business leaders.
