Purpose of the Role
The Lead SEO and AI Search Strategist will own the organic and AI search performance for one of Keyloop's flagship UK accounts: a prestigious automotive group with over 20 franchise websites. This senior, client-facing role is responsible for the creation and execution of the SEO and AI Search strategy, prioritisation, client relationships, commercial outcomes, quality assurance, and innovation. You will also mentor and direct an SEO and AI Search Executive who will own the implementation.
This role requires deep technical SEO and AI search expertise, strong commercial awareness, and outstanding client-facing skills to directly own the success of Keyloop’s most prestigious customer account.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Ownership: Build, own, and continuously evolve a bespoke, cutting-edge SEO and AI search strategy, integrating SEO and AI-driven search optimizations to dominate organic and AI search results.
- Franchise-Wide Performance: Take full ownership of SEO and AI search performance across the customer’s entire franchise network, ensuring strategy is consistent, prioritised, and effective at both group and individual franchise level.
- Client Communication & Partnership: Act as the primary and senior point of contact for the customer. This includes leading weekly update meetings, maintaining regular email contact, and owning quarterly business reviews (QBRs), where complex strategy, technical recommendations, and performance reporting are presented clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders.
- Team Direction: Direct the day-to-day workload of the SEO and AI Search Executive, allocating tasks and quality-checking output to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Maintain a deep and current understanding of search engine algorithm updates, the evolving role of generative AI in search, and automotive market trends. Proactively apply this knowledge to keep the account’s strategy ahead of the market.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
