Job Opportunity: Sign Engineer

We are currently seeking a Sign Engineer to lead our installation team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes real pride in their work, with a strong eye for detail with commitment to delivering high quality installation standards and maintaining safety protocols.

Duties

  • Head the installation and provide guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Plan and coordinate ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Install signage on various surfaces such as facias and walls using appropriate systems, substrates, tools and techniques.
  • On occasion, conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements and identify potential challenges.
  • Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and company policies.
  • Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • As a Sign Engineer you will have the ability to troubleshoot any issues that arise during installation processes and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensuring RAMs are signed and understood prior to commencement of work.
  • Uploading of completion photos for each project to our systems.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sign installation or related trade work.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a Sign Fitters mate.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to signage installation.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment for sign installation.
  • Valid driving licence for site travel purposes.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at height.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues. This role requires a dedicated individual who is organised, detail-oriented, and capable of leading by example to deliver high-quality signage solutions safely and efficiently.
  • CSCS, IPAF, PASMA preferred but training can be provided where necessary.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm, Friday 7.00am - 3.30pm - Flexible

  • Overtime above 40 hours @ 1.5 and excellent night rates (overtime is expected as part of this role with occasional night work)
