About the role:

As a Lead Site Administrator at JCB Earthmovers, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of administrative operations across the department. Acting as both the lead administrative professional for the function and Personal Assistant to the General Manager, you’ll provide high-quality support to site leadership while coordinating administrative activities that underpin the success of operational, engineering, purchasing, quality, and finance teams.

This is a varied and fast-paced role requiring exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You’ll be supporting key business initiatives, managing executive administration for the General Manager, and driving continuous improvement across the administrative function.

What does this role involve day to day?

  • Leading and coordinating administrative activities across the Earthmovers department.
  • Acting as Personal Assistant to the General Manager, managing diaries, meetings, travel, and key communications.
  • Preparing presentations, reports, meeting packs, minutes, and action trackers.
  • Coordinating leadership meetings, stakeholder visits, and departmental events.
  • Serving as the main point of contact between the department and functions such as HR, IT, Finance, Facilities, and Purchasing.
  • Managing employee lifecycle administration, including onboarding, inductions, system access, and equipment allocation.
  • Maintaining attendance, absence, and holiday records, ensuring accurate workforce administration.
  • Supporting business projects and initiatives through effective planning, reporting, and governance administration.
  • Producing management information, KPI reports, and performance data to support decision-making.
  • Maintaining document control, compliance standards, and confidential records.
  • Leading and developing the administrative team, ensuring high standards of support and service delivery.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to administrative processes and ways of working.

  • You have administrative experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or operational environment.
  • You are highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.
  • You possess excellent diary management, planning, and coordination skills.
  • You are comfortable working with sensitive and confidential information and can demonstrate a high level of professionalism and discretion.
  • You have strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • You are confident analyzing data and producing reports, management information, and KPI dashboards.
  • You have excellent attention to detail and take pride in delivering accurate and high-quality work.
  • You have experience leading and developing others, providing coaching, guidance, and support to achieve team objectives.
  • You enjoy identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing more efficient ways of working.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can adapt quickly to changing business needs.
  • You demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a strong customer-focused approach in everything you do.
