Role Description
This is a remote contract role for a Lead Snowflake Developer with Cortex AI experience and extensive pharmaceutical domain expertise (10+ years). The role involves designing and leading Snowflake data warehouse and data lake solutions, including data modeling, performance optimization, and secure data access for enterprise-scale pharmaceutical datasets. The professional will architect and implement AI-driven analytics using Cortex AI, collaborating with data scientists and business stakeholders to operationalize models and pipelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and optimizing ETL/ELT processes, integrating diverse data sources, ensuring data quality, and maintaining compliance with pharmaceutical and healthcare regulations. The lead developer will provide technical leadership to the data engineering team, conduct code reviews, define best practices, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to support digital health and healthcare IT initiatives.

- Snowflake data engineering expertise, including data modeling, performance tuning, and secure data sharing.
- Cortex AI and related AI/ML ecosystem experience for building and operationalizing advanced analytics solutions.
- Strong skills in ETL/ELT tools, SQL, and scripting languages (such as Python or similar) for data pipeline development.
- Pharmaceutical and healthcare domain knowledge, including familiarity with regulatory, compliance, and quality requirements.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS), data integration, and modern data architecture patterns.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor peers, and establish engineering standards and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional environments.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, analytics, or related fields, with significant focus on pharma/healthcare solutions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
