Job description

Role: Lead Software and DevOps Engineer

Experience

7 to 11

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end security solutions across public cloud and on-premises environments
  • Build new security environments, frameworks, components, and enterprise capabilities
  • Conduct proof-of-concepts and pilot implementations for emerging security solutions
  • Develop and maintain reusable security patterns and reference architectures
  • Lead security engineering initiatives across IAM, secrets management, CI/CD pipeline security, and software supply chain security
  • Implement secrets and key management solutions using cloud-native vaults and HashiCorp Vault
  • Identify security control gaps and provide technical guidance to platform and engineering teams
  • Manage changing stakeholder requirements, priorities, dependencies, and technical deliverables
  • Lead a small engineering team and ensure successful delivery of agreed objectives
  • Define security engineering strategy, roadmaps, milestones, and execution plans
  • Drive enterprise-wide adoption of security patterns through pilots, scaling, and stakeholder alignment
  • Design, build, test, hand over, and support the adoption of new security capabilities
  • Produce high-quality technical designs, reference documentation, implementation guides, and knowledge-transfer materials
  • Operate independently at a principal engineer level and influence architectural decisions and engineering direction
  • Collaborate with engineering, platform, architecture, security, and customer teams to deliver scalable solutions

To be successful in this role you should have

  • Strong experience in Security Architecture and DevSecOps
  • Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Hands-on experience with Secrets Management and Cryptographic Key Management
  • Strong expertise in HashiCorp Vault and cloud-native vault solutions
  • Experience designing and securing CI/CD pipelines
  • Good understanding of Software Supply Chain Security
  • Strong experience building enterprise solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premises environments
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams and large-scale technical initiatives
  • Ability to design, develop, test, transition, and scale enterprise security capabilities
  • Strong technical leadership and solution architecture skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, documentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into practical technical solutions
  • Experience influencing architecture and engineering decisions across multiple teams
  • Public cloud certifications or equivalent practical experience are desirable
  • AWS Professional-level Architecture or DevOps certification is advantageous
