Lead Software Engineer (D365)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time, 35 hours
Salary: Starting from £66,000 per annum (London weighted salary) or £58,000 per annum (Regional salary), dependant on experience
Grade: 11
Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford
Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

L&Q is investing in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure to modernise how technology supports customers and employees. The Lead D365 Software Engineer will play a key role in shaping the organisation's business applications, providing both technical leadership and hands-on expertise.

Your impact in the role
The role involves defining engineering standards, influencing platform strategy, and leading the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions. You'll work closely with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure technology solutions deliver real business value.
This position offers the opportunity to establish best practices, develop engineering capability, and make a significant impact across the organisation.
Your work will directly influence how colleagues and customers interact with core business systems, enabling improved service delivery, greater efficiency and enhanced customer outcomes.
What you'll bring
- Significant experience delivering and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Pages.
- Extensive experience developing plugins, custom workflows, custom APIs and Power Platform solutions.
- Strong C# and .NET development experience.
- Experience designing and implementing integrations between Dynamics 365, Azure and enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of solution architecture, design patterns and enterprise application development.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and release management practices.
- Proven experience leading technical delivery and mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of security, governance and best practice within the Microsoft ecosystem.

Desirable

- Relevant Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365, Power Platform or Azure.
- Degree-level qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience within housing, property management or highly regulated environments.
- Experience implementing Power Platform Components Framework (PCF) controls.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem.
