Lead Software Engineer – C# /.NET / SQL

We’re looking for a strong Senior or Lead Software Engineer to join a small, experienced development team responsible for a range of business-critical applications and systems.
This is a hands-on engineering role combining application development with complex data and problem-solving. You’ll be working across C#/.NET applications, SQL Server databases and system integrations, getting underneath issues to understand not just the code, but the data and business processes behind it.
The Role
- Develop and maintain applications using C#,.NET and SQL Server
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues across both application and database layers
- Work with complex relational and transactional data
- Understand how data flows between different systems and identify underlying issues
- Work directly with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and solve problems
- Take ownership of technical issues through to resolution
- Help improve the resilience and maintainability of existing systems

What We’re Looking For
- Strong commercial experience with C# and modern.NET
- Strong SQL Server skills and confidence working with complex data
- Experience developing or supporting business-critical applications
- Strong troubleshooting skills across both code and databases
- Ability to understand the business processes behind technical systems
- Comfortable working hands-on within a small development team
