The Company
Our client is a top-tier global financial institution investing in high-performance trading technology. The organisation is hiring an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join its Equity Derivatives Trading Technology team in Singapore. This opportunity is open to candidates currently based in the UK who are willing to relocate to Singapore. Relocation support and visa sponsorship will be provided, subject to eligibility.
The Role
- Lead the design and development of high-performance equity derivatives trading systems.
- Build and enhance ultra-low-latency applications using modern C++20.
- Develop market data, pricing, order management and execution components.
- Build and maintain FIX connectivity with exchanges, brokers and trading venues.
- Optimise latency, throughput, scalability, resilience and production reliability.
- Partner closely with traders, quantitative developers and global technology stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture guidance, code reviews and mentoring.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues in a time-sensitive front-office environment.

Your Profile
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on C++ development experience within investment banks, hedge funds, market makers, proprietary trading firms or other financial institutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with modern C++17/C++20, multithreading, concurrency and memory management.
- Proven experience building ultra-low-latency, high-throughput trading systems.
- Strong knowledge of FIX protocol, exchange connectivity and electronic trading workflows.
- Experience supporting equity derivatives, equities, options or related front-office trading platforms.
- Strong understanding of Linux, TCP/IP networking, data structures, algorithms and performance optimisation.
- Proven technical leadership experience, including architecture, code reviews and mentoring.
- Knowledge of options pricing, volatility, Greeks, exchange protocols, lock-free programming, CPU affinity or kernel bypass would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to relocate from the UK to Singapore.
