Lead Software Engineer - Portfolio Construction and Quant Research
This is a role for an elite programmer in a high-performance team. We are looking for developers to contribute to the transformation of portfolio construction and quant research technology.
If you are expert in Java or Python, passionate about the quality of your software and interested in data analytics, portfolio construction and optimization please apply.
You’ll join a team of experienced technologists dedicated to improving the design, and development of an industry leading platform.
You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed.
Role Responsibilities
As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Software Engineering Group, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices.
You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- BS or MSc degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Science Discipline
- Excellent software development skill in Python and ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
- Passionate about building an innovative culture
