Lead Software Engineer

La Fosse are partnering with an award-winning AI FinTech company, who build specialized AI tools that merge advanced, industry-specific AI with human expertise to enhance performance, for the financial services industry.

They are in the market for an excellent Lead Software Engineer to join one of their core product squads, working as a technical co-leader alongside the Engineering Manager.

This candidate will own the squad's technical direction and engineering quality end to end, from architectural decision-making and hands-on delivery, to mentoring engineers and shaping how we build across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine depth in AI, as they'll be leading LLM-powered feature development and setting the standard for how AI tooling amplifies the whole engineering process, combined with the full-stack and cloud-native chops to back it up.

Key Requirements:

  • Python
  • AWS
  • Event-Driven Architecture.
  • Strong hands-on AI/LLM skills.
  • Meaningful time building and operating AI/ML systems in production.
  • React (nice to have).

Compensation:

This role is offering an incredibly competitive salary of up to £110,000 + extended benefits package.
