Lead Software Engineer | Deep Tech Scale-Up | London
Lead Software Engineer required to join a rapidly growing London-based deep tech scale-up developing next-generation software powered by agentic AI workflow engines.
This is a technical leadership role for someone who wants to remain hands-on. You'll work alongside a high-calibre engineering team, helping shape architecture, drive technical direction, and solve complex engineering challenges while continuing to build exceptional software.
You are:
- A Full Stack Software Engineer with 7+ years of commercial experience
- Highly proficient with TypeScript across both frontend and backend development
- Experienced designing scalable systems with strong system design and architectural expertise
- Comfortable building agentic AI workflow engines or AI-powered software products
- A strong communicator who enjoys collaborating across engineering, product, and leadership teams
- Passionate about writing high-quality software and leading through technical excellence rather than people management
