Lead Software Engineer (Fixed Term)

About the Role
Within your role as a Lead Engineer, no two days will look the same; with a variety of projects, there’s always something new to learn. You will be joining an already established and talented team, comprised of Graduate Engineers through to Solution Architects helping to enhance existing and develop new products!
You will be provided a clear, individual career path with full training, support and mentorship as required to ensure you are reaching your full potential and mastering your field. At Microlise, there is no limit to the personal and professional development opportunities available.

About the Role
As a 12-month fixed-term contract, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on key business-critical projects while working with modern technologies and a highly collaborative engineering team.

What You Will Be Doing
- Proven abilities in coaching technical performance within a team and across a business, setting technical objectives and measuring progress
- Highlighting training requirements within a multi-discipline agile team
- Technical domain design skills
- Technical debt identification and pay down
- Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholders
- Advocate and leadership of design review
- Technical evangelism
- Able to implement patterns of enterprise architecture
- Working with architecture-focused road maps
- Positive attitude in the workplace
