Lead Software Engineer – Python, C#, Backend, Integrations & AI-Driven Development

Hybrid 1 day per week office

We're looking for an exceptional Lead Engineer to join a forward-thinking technology team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of enterprise systems, integrations, and software delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll combine deep technical expertise with architectural ownership, helping to build scalable platforms, modern integrations, and high-quality engineering practices. You'll remain close to the code whilst influencing technical direction across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the design and development of backend services and integration platforms
  • Owning architecture across Microsoft Dynamics 365, internal systems, and third-party SaaS applications
  • Writing production-grade code and setting engineering standards
  • Mentoring and supporting engineers across Python and.NET ecosystems
  • Driving best practice across code quality, testing, CI/CD and technical delivery
  • Working closely with Product, QA and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
  • Championing the practical and responsible use of AI development tools to improve engineering velocity and quality
  • Making key architectural decisions that support business growth and operational excellence

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
