Hartmann Young is partnered with an early-stage healthcare technology company developing AI-powered software for use in clinical environments.

As the business continues to scale, they are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join as a key technical hire, working closely with the CTO and taking ownership across the core platform.

The Role

  • Own and develop backend services and data infrastructure
  • Build and maintain Python-based APIs, pipelines and production systems
  • Support integrations with healthcare and clinical data systems
  • Work across cloud infrastructure, ML deployment and platform architecture
  • Lead technical projects from design through to production
  • Mentor engineers as the team grows
  • Help shape technical direction and engineering best practice

What They Are Looking For

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience
  • Strong commercial Python background
  • Experience building production systems on Azure or AWS
  • Strong experience across APIs, databases and data-heavy applications
  • Previous experience leading projects or mentoring engineers
  • Comfortable working within an early-stage, high-ownership environment
  • Experience in healthcare, regulated software or clinical data environments is advantageous
  • Exposure to FHIR, HL7 or ML infrastructure would be beneficial
  • Right to work in the UK
