About The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Solar Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of large-scale solar energy projects across the UK, based in our Birmingham office. This role is critical for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive innovation in solar energy deployment. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth of renewable energy infrastructure and contribute to the decarbonization efforts within the region. You will be instrumental in managing the full project lifecycle from inception to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of complex solar PV projects, from feasibility studies to final handover.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring strict adherence to timelines.
- Lead and motivate project teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants, fostering a collaborative working environment.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, local authorities, and other key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven track record as a Project Manager in the renewable energy sector, with a strong emphasis on solar projects.
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects with budgets exceeding £10 million.
- Excellent understanding of solar technology, grid connections, and UK planning and regulatory processes.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Relevant project management qualification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
