Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Doncaster, with a blend of on-site work in alternative provision settings and some work from home.
Responsibilities
- Lead Teacher:
- Design and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons.
- Coordinate individualized learning plans.
- Provide educational leadership across alternative provision programmes.

Teaching Assistants:
- Support lesson delivery.
- Offer one-to-one and small-group support.
- Help manage classroom environments.
- Assist with the preparation of learning resources.

All Team Members:
- Work closely with schools, families, and external partners to ensure students feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn.
- Monitor progress.
- Contribute to behaviour and safeguarding plans.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Participate in training, planning meetings, and reflective practice to continuously improve provision.
Qualifications
- Essential:
- Strong foundation in Education, with knowledge of alternative provision and inclusive practice.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum adaptation to meet diverse learning needs.
- Demonstrated Teaching skills, including classroom management and differentiated instruction.
- Effective Communication abilities for working with learners, families, schools, and partner agencies.
- Commitment to safeguarding, with willingness to undergo necessary background checks.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt in a changing environment.

- Desirable:
- Relevant teaching qualification or education-related degree (QTS or equivalent for Lead Teacher preferred).
- Experience in alternative provision, SEN/SEMH settings, or youth work is advantageous.
- Experience in Training, coaching, or mentoring colleagues or learners is beneficial.
