An onsite lead technical clerk plays a vital support role in engineering, construction, or industrial projects by handling documentation, data management, and administrative coordination directly at the project site. Here's a snapshot of what the role typically involves:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Technical Clerk team.
  • Ensure all technical documentation is accurately recorded, controlled, and maintained.
  • Manage document control processes, including revisions, distribution, and archiving.
  • Monitor and maintain project databases, trackers, and reporting systems.
  • Provide administrative support to engineering, project, and operational teams.
  • Produce reports, schedules, and project documentation as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and quality standards.
  • Liaise with internal departments, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance administrative processes.
  • Assist with training and mentoring team members where required.

Safety Passport or IOSH required

Based at Royston, with occasional travel to other company sites as operational needs arise. Accommodation can be provided for travelling clerks.

Working 11 day rolling fortnight, 10 x 10hrs days and 1 x 6hrs day. All hours paid at basic rate.
