Lead Technical Program Manager
We’re looking for a Lead Technical Program Manager to coordinate complex technology deliverables that involve multiple teams. You’ll manage a changing portfolio of medium-to-large initiatives, which may run for a year or more, and provide a clear, integrated view of progress, dependencies, risks, decisions, and delivery readiness.
You’ll be the main Engineering coordination point for Product and Business stakeholders. Participating teams and their TPMs remain responsible for their own execution, while technical decisions stay with the relevant technical leads.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
- Significant experience coordinating technical or software delivery across multiple teams.
- A track record of managing complex dependencies, risks, and integrated plans or forecasts.
- Experience aligning Product, Business, and Engineering stakeholders on outcomes, priorities, and trade-offs.
- Experience coordinating integration, end-to-end testing, or release readiness.
- Familiarity with Agile or product-oriented delivery and tools such as Jira.
- An understanding of security, control, compliance, and audit considerations in a regulated environment.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills, with the ability to build momentum across teams without relying on formal authority.
- Experience mentoring TPMs or improving delivery practices is desirable.
- Minimum 2.2 degree or international equivalent. Exceptions may apply for current employees where supported.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

How the Role Works
This is a cross-team coordination role, not a day-to-day TPM role embedded in one team. Team TPMs and delivery leads remain accountable for team-level planning and execution. The Lead TPM coordinates the integrated delivery view but does not take on technical design authority, application ownership, or direct people-management responsibility unless separately assigned.
