Role Overview

Risk Technology provides the firm with a suite of applications and processes to manage risk across a number of areas/pillars, including Market Risk, Wholesale Credit Risk, Asset Wealth Management Risk, and Climate & Nature Risk.

As a cross-pillar leader in Program Governance and Management, you will have the opportunity to both define and drive a variety of strategies and project deliveries. You'll work directly with the Risk Technology leadership to identify and prioritize projects that serve the best interest of the risk division. To drive cross-pillar Project Execution, you’ll partner with your Project Execution colleagues within each pillar. You will be responsible for defining program frameworks and facilitating the planning, organization, and execution of projects to ensure the successful definition and delivery of agreed scope.

This role will also involve working with the central Corporate Technology program team to help define and implement an approach that will provide full investment transparency to all stakeholders. Spending time with the Risk Engineering teams will be essential to understand how work executes today and building relationships with key project execution stakeholders across Corporate Technology and the Risk Management organisation. You will review project execution ownership models and ensure we have appropriate execution governance in place.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute and improve governance for key Risk Technology programmes, partnering with senior management to review progress, risks, issues, and milestones on a regular cadence
  • Define best-practice programme management guidelines for Risk Technology, supported by practical examples and a forward-looking view on how AI solutions will evolve ways of working
  • Drive transformation in ways of working and promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational efficiency
  • Lead cross-pillar programme execution to ensure successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives
  • Shape and articulate the Risk Technology investment story for key partners and stakeholders
  • Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate program planning and risk synthesis (e.g., consolidating inputs into integrated plans, RAID, and executive-ready updates), validating outputs, and handling data according to sensitivity requirements.
  • Define workstreams and provide leadership across them, setting scope, direction, and approach while agreeing and tracking deliverables
  • Manage critical dependencies across pillars and with partner teams across the firm
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate programme risks
  • Proactively surface and resolve issues, escalating where appropriate
  • Promotes reuse-first, AI-assisted practices for program governance and reporting, ensuring human review and alignment to delivery standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
