Job Summary

As a Senior Process Engineer in the Process Engineering team, you will design and improve operational journeys that drive exceptional customer outcomes. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions and embed risk and controls into every process. Your work will shape how processes are designed end-to-end, improving quality, consistency, and effectiveness across the organization. You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to a culture of ownership, and help us expand our digital banking capabilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and improve end-to-end operational journeys across retail banking products and services using BPMN 2.0 (Signavio or equivalent)
  • Partner with Product, Operations, Technology, Risk, Controls, Compliance, and Legal to align on requirements and delivery timelines
  • Lead delivery of process engineering workstreams, planning work, managing dependencies, and driving decisions in an agile environment
  • Embed risk and controls into process designs by identifying operational and regulatory risks early and ensuring appropriate controls are built in
  • Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, root cause investigation, and feedback loops to simplify, standardize, and automate processes
  • Mentor and support junior engineers through coaching, design reviews, and sharing best practices
  • Champion a customer-centric approach in all process designs
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive team culture
  • Contribute to initiative leadership as needed
  • Communicate clearly and build alignment with senior partners across business and technology
  • Support a culture of ownership, critical thinking, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Strong process design expertise with experience mapping complex operations and customer journeys (BPMN 2.0; Signavio or similar tooling)
  • Ability to build alignment and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Comfortable organizing work, prioritizing, managing dependencies, and driving outcomes autonomously
  • Understanding of operational risk and how to build compliant, well-controlled processes
  • Critical thinking and continuous improvement orientation
  • Mentorship and team-first mindset
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Strong knowledge of retail banking products and operational servicing
  • Experience working within agile product delivery environments
  • Strong analytical capability and structured decision-making

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading workstreams or cross-functional initiatives
  • Working knowledge of AI and its application in financial services
  • Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Success delivering complex cross-functional change initiatives
  • Calm under pressure, balancing pace with quality and control
  • Confident challenging decisions while maintaining strong relationships
