Missile Test & Testability Expert

Stevenage or Bolton
Hybrid Working (3 days onsite)

Are you a recognised expert in electronic test, testability and failure analysis looking to play a key role in the development of advanced defence technologies?

We are seeking an experienced Missile Test & Testability Expert to provide technical leadership across complex engineering programmes, driving innovation and excellence in test architecture, diagnostics and system test strategy throughout the full product lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Defining and leading project test strategies across advanced missile programmes
  • Driving improvements in testability, Built-In Test (BIT) architecture and diagnostic coverage
  • Developing and refining technical requirements and specifications for test equipment
  • Leading analysis of production test data to identify trends, root causes and improvements
  • Supporting critical design reviews, investigations and problem-solving activities
  • Influencing technical direction and best practice across multiple projects and teams
  • Mentoring engineers and supporting departmental capability growth
  • Contributing to future technology roadmaps and new business opportunities

What We're Looking For:

  • Significant experience across electronic test throughout the full engineering lifecycle
  • Strong background in electronic circuit design, testing and failure analysis
  • Experience specifying and developing test equipment solutions
  • Knowledge of Design for Test (DfT), testability and diagnostic techniques
  • Proven experience capturing and managing technical requirements
  • Strong stakeholder management and technical leadership skills
  • Experience influencing engineering strategy and driving continuous improvement
