The Studio:

We are a video game development studio with offices in Guildford, UK and Utrecht, Netherlands. Sitting within the heart of thriving communities of game developers and publishers, we focus on quality and excellence, and our partners and players are always at the front of everything we do.

Games are not just about gameplay. We believe in the importance of balancing every single aspect of a game that you, as a player will interact with; what you see, how you play and how it makes you feel.

It couldn’t be a more exciting time to join us as we work to create truly AAA experiences.

The Role

We're looking for a Lead UI Artist to shape the visual language of our game - from menus, HUDs and icons to the motion that makes an interface feel alive. You'll set the artistic vision for UI across the project, mentor a team of artists, and work closely with design, engineering and creative leadership to make every screen as polished as the world it belongs to.

If you've got a sharp eye for composition and colour, a passion for player experience, and the leadership chops to rally a team around a shared vision, we want to hear from you. We want a forward-thinking artist who can work with the team to create memorable, immersive experiences.

At Stellar, you will have the opportunity to develop and grow your expertise and increase the quality of the projects we are developing.

As our Lead UI Artist, you will:

  • Act as a UI craft specialist, providing expert guidance, mentorship, and support to help elevate the quality of UI across the studio.
  • Champion UI best practices, setting high standards for visual quality, usability, technical implementation, and player experience.
  • Collaborate with clients, internal stakeholders, and development teams to support UI direction and help shape effective solutions.
  • Present UI concepts and work, offering informed recommendations and supporting productive client and stakeholder discussions.
  • Design and create high quality UI assets, including menus, HUDs, icons, buttons, animations, and interactive elements, setting an example for exceptional craft.
  • Develop and improve UI workflows, pipelines, style guides, and best practices to support consistent, scalable production.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, artists, engineers, and producers to solve complex UI challenges and deliver polished player experiences.
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on UI work, helping teams achieve visual consistency, usability, and technical excellence.
  • Support UI implementation within the game engine, working with engineers to balance creative goals, performance, and technical constraints.
  • Advocate for strong user experiences by contributing to the refinement of player interactions, accessibility, and usability.
  • Explore and introduce new techniques, tools, and workflows that improve UI quality and production efficiency.
  • Share knowledge across the UI team and wider studio through mentoring, feedback, documentation, and best practice development.
  • Provide expert input on complex UI challenges, helping teams make informed design and technical decisions.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and UI/UX practices, bringing new ideas and approaches into studio projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
