Leader of Outdoor Play and Learning

Grade 2 Qualification Required – Potential Progression To Grade 3

Hours: 2.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday

Working hours: 11:30am – 2:00pm

Contract: Temporary, with potential to become permanent and for additional hours to be available over time

Start date: 1 November 2026 – or sooner if possible

Could you inspire children to learn, explore and thrive outdoors?

At Gunter Primary School, we believe that some of the best learning doesn't always happen inside a classroom.

We are a friendly, inclusive and ambitious school where every child is valued for who they are and supported to achieve their very best. We are passionate about providing children with experiences that build confidence, curiosity, independence and a love of learning.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and creative Leader of Outdoor Play and Learning to join our team and help us make even more of our outdoor spaces.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves being outdoors, enjoys working with children and has the ideas, enthusiasm and initiative to make things happen.

About The Role

As our Leader of Outdoor Play and Learning, you will take responsibility for developing exciting and purposeful opportunities for children to learn through the outdoors.

You will work with groups of pupils across the school, including children with SEND, creating experiences that encourage children to explore, investigate, problem-solve, work together and develop their understanding of the world around them.

You will also play an important role in developing our outdoor environment and leading projects around nature, sustainability, conservation and caring for our environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
