Job Description

Purpose

The Leadership Development Lead is responsible for leading the design, implementation, embedding, and continuous improvement of leadership development across the Health Assessment Advisory Services (HAAS) within Ingeus.

The postholder will act as the internal lead for the iLEAD leadership development programme, ensuring the programme is successfully embedded across HAAS and aligned to the wider Learning & Development Strategy, operational priorities, colleague engagement, retention, and future workforce capability.

A core focus of the role is to build consistent, scalable, and measurable leadership capability across HAAS. The postholder will work closely with the L&D Strategy & Capability Manager, senior leaders, operational managers, People & Culture, L&D Delivery, external providers, and colleagues across Transformation to ensure leadership development supports improved manager effectiveness, colleague experience, performance, confidence, and internal progression.

The role will also support the long-term sustainability of leadership development by embedding leadership frameworks, coaching approaches, toolkits, learning resources, manager guidance, evaluation methods, and internal delivery capability.

Accountabilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the HAAS leadership development framework.
  • Act as the internal programme lead for iLEAD, ensuring effective planning, delivery, embedding, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  • Work with external training providers and internal stakeholders to ensure leadership development materials, toolkits, webinars, coaching sessions, and governance processes are transferred, embedded, and sustained internally.
  • Translate business priorities, workforce challenges, and operational insight into practical leadership development interventions.
  • Demonstrate authentic leadership practice and act as a role model for effective leadership behaviours, coaching approaches, and people development across HAAS.
  • Design and oversee leadership development pathways for aspiring leaders, new managers, first-line leaders, and established leaders.
  • Work with senior leaders and People & Culture to identify leadership capability gaps and development priorities.
  • Ensure leadership development supports improved colleague engagement, retention, manager capability, productivity, confidence, and quality.
  • Lead the development of a consistent HAAS coaching framework in partnership with the Coaching & Leadership Development Specialist.
  • Embed coaching into leadership development, PDRs, PDPs, career conversations, performance conversations, and manager development activity.
  • Design and facilitate leadership development workshops, webinars, action learning sets, reflective practice sessions, and blended learning interventions.
  • Work with Content, Digital Learning, and L&D colleagues to ensure leadership development resources are accessible, engaging, and effectively hosted on our LMS iLearn.
  • Establish clear governance, quality assurance, and evaluation processes for leadership development activity.
  • Develop reporting and insight to demonstrate the impact of leadership development on confidence, behaviour change, learning transfer, and business outcomes.
  • Support the development of leadership capability data, dashboards, and reporting to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders, operational leaders, Clinical Excellence, People & Culture, Transformation, and L&D Delivery.
  • Ensure leadership development activity is aligned to the HAAS Learning & Development Strategy, capability frameworks, career pathways, and future workforce needs.
  • Support succession planning and internal talent development by creating clear leadership development routes.
  • Collaborate with L&D Delivery to ensure leadership development complements, but does not duplicate, operational training delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of leadership development, coaching, organisational development, adult learning, and talent development practice.
  • Maintain a personal development plan and engage in ongoing CPD relevant to leadership development, coaching, OD, and L&D.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
