Role Description
The Leading Forklift Driver is a full-time, on-site role based in Ash Vale, responsible for safely operating forklifts and overseeing day-to-day warehouse handling activities. The role includes:

- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Moving and stacking pallets
- Organising goods in storage areas according to company procedures
- Checking documentation
- Ensuring accurate labelling and placement of goods
- Supporting same-day, next-day, and international shipment preparation
- Coordinating work with other drivers and warehouse team members
- Promoting safe working practices
- Reporting any equipment or safety issues promptly

Qualifications
- Strong forklift operation skills, with a valid forklift license and experience handling pallets safely and efficiently.
- Warehouse and logistics experience, including loading/unloading, goods movement, and basic inventory or stock control.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices in a warehouse environment, with a focus on safe equipment use and manual handling.
- Organisational and communication skills to coordinate tasks, follow delivery schedules, and work effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Attention to detail for checking labels, documentation, and shipment accuracy, and for maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
- Reliability and flexibility to work full-time on-site in Ash Vale, including possible shift work or overtime as operationally required.
- Previous experience in transport, logistics, or distribution environments is beneficial; experience in a lead or senior warehouse role is an advantage.
- Basic numeracy and literacy, with the ability to read and complete delivery notes and warehouse records; eligibility to work in the UK.
