Are you an experienced Leakage Technician looking to work with cutting-edge technology that is helping transform the UK water industry?

Our client is a leading water technology and network services provider delivering innovative leakage detection solutions across utility networks. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Leakage Technician to support operations throughout the North region.

The Role

You will be responsible for identifying, locating, and reporting leaks across clean water networks using advanced leakage detection techniques and industry-leading technology.

Working independently in the field, you will play a key role in helping reduce water loss, improve network performance, and deliver excellent service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out proactive leakage detection activities on live water networks
  • Use acoustic leak detection equipment and specialist technology to identify hidden leaks
  • Undertake sounding, correlating, step testing, and leak verification
  • Accurately record survey findings using handheld devices and reporting systems
  • Liaise with repair teams to ensure leaks are repaired efficiently
  • Support network investigations and performance improvement activities
  • Maintain company equipment and vehicles to a high standard
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Previous experience as a Leakage Technician
  • Knowledge of clean water distribution networks
  • Experience using leak detection equipment
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload

Desirable

  • Experience using advanced leakage detection technology
  • EUSR Water Hygiene Card
  • NRSWA qualification
  • Experience working on UK water utility contracts
  • Knowledge of GIS or network mapping systems
