About TechNative

TechNative builds the AI and digital workforce across Sussex through employer-led, government-funded Skills Bootcamps. Our programmes connect adult learners to real employment outcomes, not certificates. We work with industry professionals who bring genuine practice into the room, supported by a team that takes quality seriously.

About the role

You will be one of two Learner Success Managers supporting our Wave 7 bootcamps, with all cohorts running in one block. Between you, you cover around 125 learners across five programmes (Software Development, AI and Digital Analytics, Business Management, Leadership and Management, and Microsoft 365), working closely with tutors and the Bootcamp Operational team. You will be assigned a caseload of around 60 learners.

Each Learner Success Manager leads one specialism across the whole programme. This role focuses on learning support, the other on careers, progression and employer engagement. The aim for both is to make sure learners are supported, stay on programme and progress into positive, paid work at the end of the course.

You are an independent, trusted point of contact for learners and part of TechNative's early-warning and quality assurance system. The role needs warmth, empathy, strong professional boundaries, and confidence with learners and staff.

Case management

  • Be the main point of contact for your caseload: ILPs, onboarding, midpoint and exit or progression reviews.
  • Monitor attendance, engagement, wellbeing and progression, acting on early-warning triggers with follow-up within 48 hours.
  • Gather and act on learner feedback throughout the programme, identifying themes and contributing to continuous improvement activity, quality reviews and action planning.
  • Liaise with tutors and programme leads to coordinate support, and help learners overcome barriers and complete successfully.
  • Own your caseload's outcomes against the milestones: 100% starting, 90% completing (M2), and 75% of completers gaining an employment or progression outcome (M3). TechNative is funded on these outcomes, so they are both an organisational priority and a personal KPI.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Learning support

  • TechNative has a SEND specialist joining the team who leads on formal needs assessments and the overall SEND approach. Your job is to turn that into everyday support that works for learners: knowing your caseload well, spotting when someone is struggling, and making sure agreed adjustments actually happen in the room. You will be trained and supported, and you will not be expected to arrive as the expert.
  • Work with the SEND specialist to make sure identified needs translate into clear, practical ILP actions that tutors can implement, and keep those actions under review.
  • Make sure agreed reasonable adjustments are recorded, reviewed and embedded into delivery, covering pacing, formats, deadlines and assistive tools.
  • Be a consistent, reassuring point of contact for learners with additional needs, providing continuity and advocacy alongside specialist input.
  • Take part in fortnightly learning support meetings during delivery to monitor progress and adjust support in good time, and keep support recording accurate and visible in TechNative's systems.
  • Help spot disengagement and mental health need early, including induction messaging that normalises asking for support.
  • Share what is working with tutors, contributing to an "Inclusion in Practice" guide on teaching learners with a range of needs in intensive bootcamp settings, without lowering expectations.
  • Support learners to develop confidence, professional behaviours, resilience and employability skills alongside their technical learning.
  • Monitor engagement, retention and outcomes for learners with identified needs, escalate risks early, and contribute to quality assurance, self-assessment and Ofsted readiness.

If you do have SEND or learning support expertise, there is plenty of room to lead here and to shape how we work, alongside the specialist.

Pastoral care, safeguarding and records

  • Build trusted relationships and monitor wellbeing, responding calmly and keeping clear boundaries with complex needs.
  • Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead by identifying concerns, following Safeguarding and Prevent reporting procedures and keeping accurate records, knowing when to support directly and when to escalate.
  • Promote and raise awareness of British Values throughout your work.
  • Support the delivery of TechNative's careers provision, being present in careers sessions and supporting learners' progress towards their careers outcomes and progression routes.
  • Own learner records, ILPs and milestone (M1, M2, M3) evidence in TechNative's systems for funding claims and audit, and make sure every learner is put forward to Tech Talent Champions and, where they want it, actively promoted to employers. This is shared across both Learner Success Managers.
