Salary: £29,838 - £32,579 pro rata per annum, (£25,362 - £27,692 per annum)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week, 36 weeks and 1 day per year
Location: Crewe
We are looking for a Learner Wellbeing and Inclusion Coach to support learners through one to one and small groups to help them overcome emotional and physical barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of SEND and disadvantaged learners to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from barriers to learning, participation, attendance, wellbeing or achievement;
- Support learners through one to one and group activities to overcome barriers to achieving their learning goals;
- Provide direct interventions to identified learners and facilitate internal and external partnership working to remove barriers to learning;
- Track the progress of a caseload of learners, providing feedback to relevant curriculum, pastoral and wellbeing areas and ensuring College systems are up to date; and
- Promote the welfare of children and young people.
Key Person Specification Requirements:
- Level 4 or equivalent in relevant qualification
- GCSE Grade C (4/5) in Maths and English (or equivalent);
- Evidence of relevant continuous professional development;
- Experience of working and communicating effectively with young people who are disadvantaged and/or vulnerable;
- Experience of working in a supportive environment;
- Excellent working knowledge of safeguarding procedures;
- Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in working and learning environments
- Ability to carry out administration duties effectively; and
- Enhanced DBS check.
