Learning & Development Consultant (Recruitment Sales)
Hybrid - London

If so, Proclinical has an exciting opportunity for you to join our global Learning & Development team as a Learning & Development Consultant, supporting the growth and development of our recruitment teams across Proclinical and R&D Partners.
Proclinical is an award-winning global Life Sciences recruitment business. Our purpose is to help great Life Sciences partners grow. We partner with organisations across the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Medical Device sectors, helping them secure the specialist talent required to bring life-changing therapies and technologies to market.
As a Learning & Development Consultant, you will play a key role in designing, delivering and continuously improving our recruitment sales training programmes across the business. Working closely with recruiters, managers and senior leaders, you will help develop the commercial skills, behaviours and capabilities that drive exceptional recruitment performance.
This role is ideal for someone who has a strong background in recruitment and a genuine passion for coaching, mentoring and developing others. Whether you're already working in Learning & Development or you're an experienced recruiter looking to transition into a training-focused position, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact across a global organisation.
About the Role
As a Learning & Development Consultant, you will focus on enhancing recruitment sales capability across our business. From onboarding new starters through to coaching experienced consultants and leaders, you'll create engaging learning experiences that help individuals improve performance, increase productivity and achieve their career goals.
You'll be responsible for delivering training across key recruitment disciplines including business development, client acquisition, relationship management, candidate engagement, negotiation, market mapping and commercial excellence.

Working closely with leaders across the business, you'll identify skills gaps, develop targeted learning solutions and drive a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging recruitment sales training programmes across all levels of the business
- Facilitate onboarding and induction training for new recruitment hires
- Coach recruiters on core recruitment sales skills including business development, client generation, networking, negotiation and account growth
- Deliver one-to-one coaching sessions designed to improve individual performance and capability
- Facilitate group workshops, training academies and development programmes
- Partner with recruitment leaders to identify training needs and create targeted development plans
- Support managers in developing high-performing teams through coaching and development initiatives
- Use performance metrics and business data to identify trends and measure training effectiveness
- Design and develop engaging learning content, workshops and resources using a variety of learning methodologies
- Support the adoption and optimisation of recruitment technologies, CRM systems, sourcing tools and AI-enabled recruitment solutions
- Build career development pathways that support employee growth and progression
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, coaching and professional development throughout the organisation
- Collaborate with global Learning & Development colleagues on strategic training initiatives and projects
To thrive in this role, you will:
- Have a strong background within recruitment, ideally as a successful 360 recruiter, team leader or recruitment manager
- Possess a deep understanding of recruitment sales processes and best practices
- Have experience coaching, mentoring or developing recruiters
- Be passionate about helping others improve performance and achieve their potential
- Have excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills
- Be confident engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the business
- Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and an understanding of what drives recruitment success
- Have a proactive, positive and solutions-focused mindset

Required Skills
- Passionate about learning, development and coaching
- An experienced recruitment professional with strong sales credibility
- A confident facilitator capable of engaging both individuals and groups
- Highly organised with excellent planning and time-management skills
- Commercially minded and performance-driven
- Skilled at building relationships and influencing others
- Enthusiastic about creating positive behavioural change
- Motivated by helping individuals and teams achieve success
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience within a Learning & Development, Training, Enablement or Coaching role
- Experience delivering recruitment sales training programmes
- Experience supporting leadership development initiatives
- Familiarity with Bullhorn, LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruitment technologies
- Experience within Life Sciences recruitment or another specialist recruitment sector
- Knowledge of modern learning methodologies and blended learning approaches
