Learning & Development Manager
GreenSquareAccord | Birmingham / Hybrid | £50,000-£60,000 + £2500 Car Allowance
1 day per week in the Birmingham office
Are you an experienced Learning & Development professional ready to lead a function that makes a real difference to organisational capability, colleague development and performance? GreenSquareAccord is looking for a Learning & Development Manager to lead our L&D function and shape how we develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours our colleagues need to deliver excellent services to our customers.
This is a broad and influential role, working closely with senior leaders across the organisation. You`ll lead a talented team covering L&D, digital learning, systems training, care and support training, colleague development, EDI, engagement and wellbeing.
What you`ll do
- Take ownership of our organisation-wide learning and development offer, including:
- Developing and maintaining training, competency and compliance matrices across the business, ensuring colleagues meet legal, regulatory and role-specific requirements.
- Managing the annual training programme, identifying organisational needs and ensuring capacity is in place.
- Overseeing compliance training and producing detailed reports for the Executive Team on completion, risks, trends and actions.
- Managing the L&D budget, external providers and ensuring investment delivers value for money.
- Leading our digital learning offer and Learning Management System, including e-learning and blended learning pathways.
- Supporting apprenticeships, professional qualifications, early careers and career development.
- Developing and embedding performance management processes, including 1:1 frameworks, PDRs and calibration, working with senior leaders to ensure fairness and consistency across teams.
- Supporting our EDI, engagement and wellbeing agenda and using colleague feedback and engagement insight to drive meaningful action.
- Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing L&D team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

What we`re looking for

- You`ll have significant experience leading an L&D function, with strong knowledge of organisational learning, training compliance and colleague development.
- Someone who can quickly build their knowledge of housing legislation and our operating environment or have relevant housing sector experience.
- You`ll be confident managing budgets, systems and external providers, analysing data and presenting clear recommendations to senior and Executive-level stakeholders.
- You`ll be an excellent relationship builder and influencer, comfortable balancing strategic priorities with operational delivery.
Housing experience is desirable but not essential - we`re looking for someone who can quickly build their knowledge of housing legislation and our operating environment.
