Learning and Development Manager
Salary up to £53,000 per annum, depending on experience
Full-time, permanent role
Hybrid working available
We're working with a specialist law firm to recruit a Learning and Development Manager to join their HR team. This is a varied role combining learning and development strategy with programme design, delivery and the day-to-day administration needed to provide a consistent development experience across the firm.
The role will have a particular focus initially on establishing dependable learning systems, plans and course administration, while also taking responsibility for wider learning initiatives across the business.
It's a hands-on position covering early careers, internal progression, leadership and professional skills development, compliance and regulatory learning, digital learning and the ongoing evaluation of development programmes.
Responsibilities
- Developing and delivering the firm's learning and development strategy
- Working closely with departments and managers to understand learning and development needs
- Developing learning plans and programmes across the firm
- Supporting early careers programmes and internal progression
- Designing and delivering leadership and professional skills development
- Coordinating compliance, regulatory and digital learning
- Managing course administration, bookings, communications and learner records
- Supporting colleagues and managers throughout the learning process
- Evaluating learning activity and using feedback to improve future programmes
- Monitoring participation and maintaining accurate learning records
- Working collaboratively with the wider HR team on people and development initiatives
- Providing general learning and development support across the firm as required

What we need from you
- Previous experience in a learning and development role, ideally within a professional services environment
- Experience of designing, coordinating and delivering learning programmes
- Good organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple programmes and deadlines
- Confident working with managers and colleagues at different levels of an organisation
- Comfortable facilitating training and presenting to groups
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate learning records
- A practical approach to identifying learning needs and developing appropriate solutions
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning management or similar systems
- Able to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of an HR team
- Experience of working within a regulated or professional environment would be useful
