Learning and Development Manager
Location: Spalding
Job type: Full time, Permanent
Our client, a highly respected and growing professional services organisation, is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Manager to lead and evolve its people development strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate L&D professional to shape learning initiatives that support business growth, enhance employee capability, and foster a culture of continuous development.
Working closely with leaders and colleagues across the business, you will design and deliver innovative learning programmes that develop talent at every stage of the employee lifecycle, from early careers through to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Learning & Business Partnership
- Develop and deliver the organisation's learning and development framework in line with business priorities.
- Partner with senior stakeholders and departmental leaders to identify capability gaps and establish targeted development solutions.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across the wider business.
- Provide expert guidance on talent development trends, learning methodologies, and best practice.
Talent Development & Career Pathways
- Lead and enhance programmes supporting graduates, apprentices, trainees, and early-career professionals.
- Create structured development pathways that encourage internal mobility and long-term career progression.
- Support succession planning initiatives by identifying and developing future talent pipelines.
- Collaborate with managers to nurture high-potential employees and emerging leaders.

Leadership & Professional Skills Development
- Design and facilitate leadership development programmes for managers and senior professionals.
- Deliver initiatives that strengthen core business skills, including communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, and client service excellence.
- Work with external providers where appropriate to deliver specialist development programmes.
- Ensure learning solutions support both individual growth and organisational performance.
Regulatory, Compliance & Digital Learning
- Oversee mandatory training requirements, ensuring compliance with professional, legal, and regulatory obligations.
- Manage learning management systems and digital learning platforms to maximise engagement and accessibility.
- Introduce innovative learning technologies and blended learning solutions to enhance the employee experience.
- Maintain robust records and reporting on training completion and compliance metrics.

- Manage the end-to-end administration of learning initiatives, workshops, and development programmes.
- Ensure employees receive a seamless and engaging learning experience throughout their development journey.
- Coordinate training schedules, external suppliers, budgets, and learning resources effectively.
- Act as a key point of contact for learning-related queries and support.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Enhancement
- Measure the effectiveness and impact of learning interventions through feedback, analytics, and performance metrics.
- Use data-driven insights to continuously improve learning programmes and delivery methods.
- Produce regular reports and recommendations for key stakeholders.
- Stay informed of emerging trends and innovations within learning and development.
HR Collaboration
- Work closely with the wider HR team to align learning initiatives with talent management, employee engagement, recruitment, and performance processes.
- Support broader people projects and organisational change initiatives where required.
- Build strong collaborative relationships across all areas of the business to ensure learning remains commercially relevant and impactful.
